Dancing With The Stars - Season 19

Tonight, the remaining six celebrities will compete on the ninth week of Dancing With the Stars and it’s America’s Choice. The dances, costumes and more are all selected by you…

The couples will have to dance two full routines including an individual original dance and a trio dance. For the trio dance, couples had the opportunity to pick an eliminated pro or troupe member to enhance their performance and highlight the strengths of each star.

And we’re off… Tom and Erin welcome us to the show and we get right into the results. TOMMY AND PETA ARE SAFE AND DANCING IN NEXT WEEK’S SEMIFINALS! Tom warns us that there is a shocking elimination tonight and that Alfonso and Witney are dancing first.

Alfonso (Fox Trot)

Instead of using social media, they decide to get feedback from the public by taking it to the streets. I don’t know what else I can say about this guy, he just makes it look so easy. Len says that was the way to kick off the show, Julianne says he improved from his previous ballroom dance, Bruno says he captured the sophistication of the dance and Carrie Ann thought it needed more pizazz. What she watching the same dance?

Tommy (Viennese Waltz)

He injured his leg last week, but the doctor gave him the go ahead and he’s ready to kick Alfonso’s ass. Got to love his confidence! America did him a favor by getting him a slower pace dance and he does it pretty well, until he doesn’t. There a couple of missteps at the end. Julianne says it was a proper Viennese Waltz, Bruno says he understand why he made it this far, Carrie Ann says he teaches us that less is more and Len she he is his hero.

Lea (Samba)

They were disappointed by their scores last week and they struggle with control issues, but eventually work it. I don’t really understand what happen to Lea, but she seems to be taking steps backward not forward. Her last three dances have been lacking something for me. Bruno says she has it, Carrie Ann says her confidence is back, Len thought it was terrific and Julianne basically says he movements didn’t mimic a cat but she was still fierce.

They are really happy with how last week’s Salsa went and they are depicting a couple going through a hard time, which results in the guy leaving. Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful! Carrie Ann thought that she through herself into the dance, Len wasn’t totally transported, Julianne thought it was beautiful and Bruno thought it was emotive and real.

Sadie (Jive)

The main advice they get from the public is to show her confidence and be competitive. This dance is a tall glass of water and Sadie could barely drink half of it. Len says Jive is tough for tall girls, Julianne says the dance was tough and not her favorite, Bruno says she did a good job and Carrie Ann was impressed that she powered through after a pretty bad start.

After last week’s perfect score, they feel pressure to stay at that level. Val pushes her hard and it totally pays off. It has an old Hollywood feel about it and outside of Alfonso, they are my favorite to watch from week to week. Julianne thought it was the best dance of the night, Bruno thought the choreography was high-quality, Carrie Ann agrees with Julianne and Len says it had everything

Trio: Alfonso, Witney & Lindsay (Paso Doble)

They joke about Alfonso being older than them combined and there are a lot of games, before they get to working on the routine. This is sick! They are so in sync it’s ridiculous and they way he transitions from one girl to the other is effortless. Love It! Len wasn’t a fan of the song, but loved the dance. Julianne says they nailed, Bruno says he was a ringmaster chasing two vixens and Carrie Ann says it was insane.

They are taking flight with Sharna and he is hoping that with two beautiful women in tow, nobody will looking at his dancing, which is awful here. Not even his entertaining personality can save this one from being a complete and utter disaster. Julianne is speechless, Bruno thought the service was first class (not the Samba), Carrie Ann thought it was entertaining and Len wants to be on a flight like that.

She is very excited to be sandwiched between two guys and she wants to tame them in her dance. This is yet another dance from Lea that is simply lacking something or maybe it just pales in comparison to Alfonso’s showstopping Paso. Bruno says she maintained her strength, Carrie Ann says she stood out, Len loved that she was the focal point and Julianne thought she killed it.

Trio: Bethany, Derek & Tony (Argentine Tango)

Tony is excited to work with Derek, who he used to babysit. Derek is dealing with back injury, but as usual, he pulls it off. This guy’s skills as a choreographer are unmatched on this show and even though Bethany doesn’t nail all of the sits, she is still good. Carrie Ann wanted to see more of a connection, Len disagrees and thought the changes were seamless, Julianne sides with Len and Bruno loved it.

Trio: Sadie, Mark & Emma (Fox Trot)

Emma was not their first choice and understandably so. They wanted a guy to make Sadie standout, but none of the other eliminated pros matched up with Mark height wise. The dance is pretty good though and a major improvement over her first dance. Len calls it the best trio of the night, Julianne says the risk of picking Emma was worth it and Bruno says he couldn’t tell who was the professional.

Trio: Janel, Val & Keo (Salsa)

I love watching these two dance and I am happy they chose Keo to join them, because he has really shined in routines throughout the season after being eliminated first. Her confidence is one fire in this routine, but I can’t say it’s my favorite. Still, very good though. Julianne says there wasn’t a lot of Salsa content, Bruno loved the sexuality (compares it to Josephine Baker), Carrie Ann says she has star quality and Len agrees with Julianne.
