It’s official! Artem Chigvintsev will join Dancing with the Stars season 29 as the 15 pro dancer. ABC’s Good Morning America teased a big reveal on Friday. But the clues were pretty obvious. teased another DWTS reveal set for Monday (Aug 24) morning. “Which pro dancer will be revealed on GMA Monday?” the promo teased. “Here’s a clue: He just had a baby with the love of his life, and she knows how to kick some a**.”
Of course, those clued point right at Artem who just had a baby boy with his fiancee, his season 25 dance partner and professional wrestler Nikki Bella. Artem dropped by GMA on Monday morning to make the news official. He chatted about the joys of being a new father, and how skipping last season’s Dancing with the Stars made him realize how much he missed it. Both he and Sharna Burgess were omitted from the pro case last season, which outraged fans of the show. But both dancers are back this season, along with 13 other pro dancers.
Also, the hosts gifted Artem and Nikki with an adorable little onesie decorated with DWTS-esque glitter for their new arrival.
Here is a date to mark down on your calendar: The celebrity cast will be revealed on Wednesday September 4. But more than likely, almost every single name will leak ahead of time. Additionally, show pairing will be revealed on the Monday September 14 premiere. But again–that news will leak leak leak!
