American Idol 15 contestant, Dalton Rapattoni, was back in his hometown of Sunnyvale Texas on Saturday (3/27) for a hometown hero’s welcome, along with FOX cameras capturing every detail.
The singer visited his grandma’s beauty Salon, put on a School of Rock Performance, visited Sunnyvale High School, and after a parade, performed a concert at Town Center Park. Dalton performed Idol favorites, “Rebel Yell,” “Eleanor Rigby,” “Sound of Silence,” “7 Nation Army” and “She.”
Dalton took time to thank his hometown for the turnout at his performance, as well as for their support for him on the show. “Every inspiration I’ve ever had came from [Sunnyvale],” He said during his performance. There is more about his big day at the Dallas Observer. “Calling to You” was a song that Rapattoni dedicated to the people of his hometown, according to the article. Maybe, like last season, the Top 4 are performing their Hometown dedication songs as part of their set…
Clips from Dalton’s hometown visit will air on American Idol Thursday March 31.
