Kanye West earns his 9th consecutive number one debut on the Billboard 200 with “Jesus is King”. Only Eminem has as many number ones in a row.”Jesus is King” moved 264K equivalent albums with 109K of those being traditional album sales.
All 11 songs from Kanye’s album debut on the Hot 100 and that includes one featuring Kenny G. Kenny G now becomes one of just 5 artists to have a song in the top 40 of the Hot 100 in 4 different decades. The other 4 are Michael Jackson, U2, Madonna and “Weird Al” Yankovic.
