We have a new leader on the top of the Hot 100. Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” has slowly been climbing the airplay charts and worming its way into the streaming-verse. The song doesn’t lead any of the contributing charts (2nd on airplay with 105.6M AI, 2nd on Digital with 24K and 8th on streaming with 25.2M). It was featured on DWTS last week and it had the 5th longest trip to number one in the history of the Hot 100 (24 weeks since it first appeared on the chart).
“Señorita” from Camila Cabello and Shawn Menes is third on the chart.
Post Malone’s “Hollywood Bleeding” returns to the top of the Billboard 200. It had 93K in equivalent album sales. The always meme-able Kanye West is back with a new album which will be number one next week. He just did a new Carpool Karaoke with James Corden except on a plane and he brought an entire choir. James seemed to be having nervous fun, but Kanye was a little less interested in the fun. The choir was on point.
