Today’s number thread is brought to you by the number 0.

The Chainsmokers dethrone Sia and take over the top of the Hot 100 chart. This is the first time they have ever topped the chart and the same is true of Halsey who is featured on “Closer”. The Hot 100 top 10 mostly just shuffles around a bit with Adele rejoining and Rihanna leaving.

HDD has Spotify numbers featuring nobody we track.

The latest person to be sued for copyright infringement is Demi Lovato. Sleigh Bells claims that she stole from “Infinity Guitars” to make “Stars”. “The combination of the hand claps and bass drum, structured as quarter beats and a rest, with the bass drum providing a counter-rhythm to the hand claps, is at least substantially similar in both works”. Hand claps and drums! Truly an original thought. Demi was a judge on the US version of X-Factor.
