Daily Numbers’ Thread – 01/03/17

Today’s thread is brought to you by the numbers 1, 9, 42K and 101K

Pentatonix holds the top of the BB200 chart despite suffering a 51% drop in sales. Christmas albums have a short shelf-life with sales dropping off a cliff after the event (but they get revived the next October). With just two days of the selling week before Christmas, the album did very well moving 101K. Their previous Christmas album also sticks in the top 10 with 42K equivalent albums.

Other albums on the chart saw smaller declines or even boosts in sales. They were helped by iTune gift card redemptions and some digital CDs were even on sale.
