Cory Monteith Cause of Death Confirmed: Heroin and Alcohol Overdose (VIDEO)

According to the Associated Press and other sources, the British Columbia coroner confirms that Cory Monteith died of a “mixed drug toxicity, involving primarily heroin and also alcohol.”

The Glee star, who played football player, Finn Hudson, on the musical comedy, was found dead at Vancouver’s Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel on Saturday afternoon.

Canadian officials said the investigation into Cory’s death was “continuing.” No other details are currently available.

“It should be noted that at this point there is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith’s death was anything other than a sad and most-tragic accident,” the office said in a statement.

Cory’s family has been informed of the circumstances surrounding his death.

This news is just unbearably sad. Rest in Peace Cory.
