Break out the gorilla suits! Finally, a Super Bowl halftime show rumor that appears to be legit. The British pop rock group, Coldplay is set to perform at the biggest US sporting event of the year, according to media reports

Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Johnny Buckland and Will Champion will take the field at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., on Feb. 7, 2016. On December 5 the band’s latest album, Headful of Dreams will be out. Coldplay most recently appeared on the American Music Awards back in November, where they appeared for the first time in seven years.

The NFL is set to officially make the announcement tonight (Dec. 3), when the Green Bay Packers play the Detroit Lions.

“Insiders” report that former Super Bowl halftime act, Bruno Mars, will be involved in some capacity. There were rumors earlier that Bruno had been tapped to “curate” the performances. Adam Levine previously debunked rumors that Maroon 5 would be performing.

Previous Super Bowl half time performers include Madonna, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake and Katy Perry. Beyonce appears on a track from the new album, “Hymn on the Weekend.” You never know, she might appear out of nowhere to duet.

Super Bowl 50 will air Sunday February 7 on CBS.
