The autopsy for The Voice star, Christina Grimmie, was released on Friday, July 22 by the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office and confirmed that the singer was shot twice, once in her head and once in her chest.
The report also showed that her killer, 27-year-old Kevin Loibl, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in the incident, which took place in Orlando, Florida, on June 10.
The 22-year-old YouTube singer’s cause of death was ruled a homicide, and no drugs were found in either her or Loibl’s systems.
“In consideration of the circumstances surrounding the death, and after examination of the body, toxicology analysis, and review of the available medical records, it is in my opinion that the death of Christina Grimmie, a 22-year-old white female witnessed to have been shot by another and subsequently transported to the hospital, is the result of gunshot wounds of the head and chest,” the report reads. “The manner of death is homicide.”
