Christina Aguilera is set for a multiple episode arc on the ABC musical drama, Nashville, reports EOnline.
The singer and The Voice coach will play Jade St. John, a pop superstar who arrives in town for a two-night stand at the Bridgestone Arena. Having worked non-stop on her career for the past 10 years, she’s looking to take a little “vacation” from her life.
Jade, who grew up listening to country music, really loves it and would cut a country album if her label would allow it. But the don’t, so Jade is in music city to soak up the scene and imagine what could be. At this point in her career, she’s basically trapped by her success.
That sounds like a gal who is just itching to bust out, not matter what the consequences. We’ll see what happens!
Christina’s arc will kick off this spring. Nashville airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
