Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone” ranks #5, Daughtry’s “It’s Not Over at #94 and Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats” at #99 on VH1’s Top 100 of 00’s.

Chris Daughtry: New Album Is Upbeat and Positive

Chris Daughtry told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show this morning that completely removing himself from touring and writing to spend time with his family, helped the inspiration to come flooding in when he and his band Daughtry began the process of making the new album. It was the longest break he had in 5 years.

Chris Daughtry and his band, Daughtry premiere a new song called “Renegade” and surprise surprise…it rocks REALLY REALLY HARD!.

Times are really tough for straight up rock bands these days. Rock doesn’t get the play on Top 40 stations that it used to. I think part of the problem is that rock music has shifted to an older demo. R&B, Pop and Hip Hop are what the kids are listing to these days. So even Nickleback, who are releasing their album on November 21–the same day as Daughtry–may have a hard time getting their tunes played on CHR.
