I’m so going to have to eat my words about One Direction, aren’t I? I spent months dismissing Simon Cowell and his aim to bring his manufactured boy band to America. HA. I said. Vocal groups haven’t been popular in the US since the turn of the last decade.

So whataya know. The boys are set to take the top spot on the Billboard 200 next week, according to Hit’s latest predictions.
