Emily Brooke was eliminated from American Idol this week after singing Cassadee Pope’s “Invincible” in week 1 of the semifinals. It had to be disappointing for the young singer, who was on her 2nd American Idol go around after being cut from season 14 right before the Top 24.
No doubt, she cheered right up after Cassadee, who is one of her Idols and the winner of The Voice season 3, invited Emily on stage Sunday night (2/14) in Estero, Florida, to perform “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart.” Emily impressed the judges with a version of the song during Hollywood week’s first solo round.
Cassadee is currently on tour with fellow country singer, Chris Young.
“Thank you so much Cassadee for having me tonight,” Emily writes on Youtube, “I can’t believe that I can say I sang with you or even that I just sang for a SOLD OUT SHOW LIKE OMG!! Thank you so much Cass! ILY”
