Carrie Underwood’s next album will be titled Play On and is set to be released November 3.   Check out the pretty album cover!

According to Idol Chatter, Carrie has been working in the studio with Mark Bright (producer and CEO of Word Records–Danny Gokey wants to work with him).   Bright produced 2007’s Carnival Ride and some songs on her debut, Some Hearts.

Carrie also worked in the studio recently with producer Max Martin (“My Life Would Suck Without You”, “So What”, “I Kissed a Girl”) to record a song.   The track may or may not make the album, according to Sony Music Nashville’s chairman, Joe Galante, “We haven’t determined that yet, ” he said, “We haven’t heard the track.”   Bright produced the rest of the record.

Also, Carrie recorded a song from R&B singer, Ne-Yo, but when asked about the track, Carrie seemed iffy about its placement. ‘We came out with an awesome song, ‘ Carrie says. ‘I’m not sure if it fits within the context of the rest of the album, but there is no doubt in my mind that somebody somewhere is going to record this song.’
