How cute is this photo? It’s a screen grab from an official NHL video which you can watch at NHL.com.

Carrie Underwood’s hockey playing husband, Mike Fisher, was feted last night for playing his 1000th game in the National Hockey League.

Mike played in his 1,000th game on March 3 in a 5-4 overtime loss against the New Jersey Devils, and according to NHL.com, was presented with a silver stick, a photo collage, a commemorative crystal and a gift from his teammates during the ceremony.

Fisher spent 675 games with the Ottawa Senators before being traded to the Nashville Predators in the 2010-11 season.

After the puck was dropped, Fisher gave the Predators a 2-0 lead against the Kings at 13:17 of the second period. It was his 12th goal of the season.

The American Idol season 4 winner and their baby, Isaiah, were present for the ceremony, along with Mike’s parents.

In a brief interview with FOX news, which can also be viewed at NHL.com, the country singer said of her husband’s accomplishment, “It’s very special for our family to get to be here for Mike.” Carrie continued, “Mike works hard at everything he does. I’ve seen how he trains during the season and how dedicated he is and what he does off season as well. I’m just proud of him. He’s the hardest working person…I know.”

I wish I could embed the videos, but you’ll have to watch both the clip of the ceremony and Carrie’s interview at NHL.com
