Carrie Underwood celebrates her single “Good Girl” being certified platinum! The first single from the country superstar’s latest album, Blown Away, hits the 1 million download mark!  It’s her TENTH platinum or multi-platinum digital single! Congratulations Carrie.

Nashville, TN – Superstar Carrie Underwood’s “Good Girl” has been certified Platinum by the RIAA for more than 1 million digital downloads. “Good Girl,” the lead single from Carrie’s latest album, Blown Away, marks Carrie’s tenth Platinum or Multi Platinum digital single.

Upon its release on May 1, Blown Away made history by debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country albums sales chart making Carrie only the second country artist in the 47 year history of the chart to have each of their first four albums debut at No. 1. Blown Away also debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart making Carrie only the second country artist in history to have three consecutive albums debut at No. 1. Blown Away became country’s best-selling digital album debut since 2010.

On the heels of her “most wins” at the “2012 CMT Music Awards” for “Video of the Year” (“Good Girl”) and “Collaborative Video of the Year” (“Remind Me” duet with Brad Paisley), Carrie Underwood is also nominated for “Choice Female Country Artist” at “Teen Choice 2012” which airs Sunday, July 22 at 8pm ET on FOX. Carrie will head overseas next week for the UK launch of her Blown Away album and to perform a sold out show at London’s Royal Albert Hall on June 21. From there she’ll head to Australia for five shows including a sold-out stop at the Sydney Opera House on July 2.

Since releasing Some Hearts in 2005, Carrie has sold more than 14 million albums with Some Hearts, 2007’s Carnival Ride, and 2009’s Play On making her the best selling American Idol in the U.S. She’s accumulated 15 No. 1 singles, seven of which she co-wrote, and became the first country artist in history and the only American Idol winner ever to achieve 10 No. 1 singles from their first two albums. She is a five-time Grammy winner, a two-time Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, a three-time Country Music Association and ACM Female Vocalist winner, and a proud member of the Grand Ole Opry.
