Carrie Underwood To Duet With Willie Nelson On Upcoming Nelson Album (AUDIO CLIP)

Season 4 American Idol champ and country superstar Carrie Underwood is among a who’s who of female country, bluegrass, Americana, and gospel/soul singers to duet with the legendary Willie Nelson on his upcoming duets release, To All The Girls…, due out 9/24 via Sony Legacy Recordings. The tracklisting reveals a truly eye-popping list of female talent, including Dolly Parton (who joins Willie on a song she wrote called “From Here To The Moon And Back”), Loretta Lynn, Alison Krauss, Emmylou Harris, Brandi Carlile, Rosanne Cash, Wynonna, and Mavis Staples. The project is produced by Buddy Cannon.

Carrie is featured on the classic “You Were Always On My Mind,” which is cowritten by Johnny Christopher, Mark James, and Wayne Carson and earned Willie Nelson a Grammy for Best Male Country Vocal Performance in 1982 (the songwriters won the all-genre Song Of The Year Grammy, as well as the Grammy for Best Country Song).
