The 2½-minute behind-the-scenes look at the making of this year’s NBC Sunday Night Football show open featuring Carrie Underwood and NFL stars, debuted in National CineMedia’s FirstLook pre-show program in AMC, Cinemark, and Regal Entertainment Group–a network of more than 19,000 movie screens–last Friday.
But now, you can see the clip, featuring the American Idol season 4 winner and country star, and a slew of NFL players, as they filmed the new opening.
“It’s always fun being part of Sunday Night Football and recording the open,” said Carrie.
Players who shared the soundstage with the singer included newbies, Odell Beckham Jr. (New York Giants), Patrick Peterson (Arizona Cardinals), Dez Bryant (Dallas Cowboys), and return players Clay Matthews (Green Bay Packers) and Antonio Brown (Pittsburgh Steelers).
Brown had a “little rapport” going with Carrie, as did as Andrew Luck (Indianapolis Colts). “I did not know I’d be doing a scene with Carrie!” Luck said as Carrie playfully attacked him with a makeup brush. “It was a bit of a surprise. I guess cameras were rolling!”
Sunday Night Football returns to NBC Thursday, September 10.
