Carrie Underwood released her Greatest Hits: Decade #1 album last week. With so much The Voice and American Idol news dropping last week, we got a little behind on our Carrie updates! So, here’s what we missed:
There are TWO new songs on Greatest Hits, including Carrie’s smash hit single, “Something in the Water” and “Little Toy Guns”.
Co-written by Chris DeStefano (Good Girl, Something in the Water), Hilary Lindsey and Carrie Underwood, “Little Toy Guns” is not literally about guns.
“It’s about words. It’s about a child hearing her parents fighting. Even at a young age she realizes how much they hurt,” Carrie explains, “And she wishes they were plastic and fake, like toys, and they didn’t actually cause any damage.”
Here’s Carrie performing a live version at last week’s IHeartRadio record release party in New York City.
On The Talk last week, Carrie told a story about tourists in Austria (she was there on a research mission for The Sound of Music) mistook her husband, Mike Fisher, for Thor. “I think my husband is way hotter!” said Carrie.
