Carrie Underwood previewed her “Cry Pretty” music video on Sunday’s (May 6) American Idol LIVE Top 7 performance and results show.
The singer also announced that next week, the American Idol Top 5 will be flying to Nashville to be mentored by the season 4 winner as they prepare to perform songs from the country superstar’s catalog. Carrie will also be performing “Cry Pretty” during next Sunday’s (May 13) live telecast.
In the music video, we see Carrie juxtapose her life as a high flying celebrity with quiet moments of sadness. The clip illustrates that there is no way to “cry pretty,” even for the rich, beautiful and famous.
