American Idol holds Open Audition in New Orleans – American Idol has scheduled two open auditions in New Orleans on July 20 and again in Miami on August 22.
The two audition spots were added to the 20 cities already scheduled as part of the American Idol Audition tour announced back in June. That tour will officially kick-off on Saturday, August 25 simultaneously in Orlando, Florida and San Diego, California.
The New Orleans audition will be held at the New Orleans Convention Center located at 900 Convention Center Blvd. – Read more at KATC.com

Scotty McCreery talks ‘This Is It’ single, wedding, American Idol – Regarding his single “This Is It,” McCreery said, “It’s exciting. It’s my wedding and engagement song. I am excited to sing it every night. It has good memories for me.”
While he is stoked with the way that the lyric video for “This Is It” came out, McCreery is looking forward to the song’s actual music video even more, in the near future.
