In a new interview with Shawn Quinn of 105.9 The Mountain in Asheville, American Idol season 13 winner, Caleb Johnson mentions that he will appear on the show either April 22 or April 29 to talk about his upcoming tour, new music video, and album.
Caleb is hoping to perform his single “Fighting Gravity” on the American Idol finale.
From this season’s crop of finalists, Caleb is a big fan of Clark Beckham, whom he believes could win the whole thing!

On winning American Idol, Caleb said, “Life’s just a process. That show, in itself, is just one chapter in my life that I worked and achieved and strove to accomplish that goal. It’s an incredible thing and a huge honor. It’s opened so many doors for me that I could not have even imagined.”
Caleb feels he gained confidence and a sense of who he is as an artist through the American Idol process.

Caleb has been keeping up with American Idol this season. “This one guy…on the show, I think his name is Clark Beckham,” said Caleb, “He’s a really great soul singer…like a Van Morrison/Michael McDonald type.”
“Super white guy, but he sings like an 80 year old soul man. It’s just crazy to watch that.” Caleb continued, “I think for me personally, he might win it.”
