Caleb Johnson ended the rock half of the American Idol 13 Top 6 performance show with a raucous version of the Black Crowe’s “Sting Me.”
Bringing great rock n roll spirit to the stage, the singer made entertaining the crowd seem effortless. A natural frontman, Caleb riffed off the band and the background singers as he worked the stage. He handled a mishap with the mic stand while barely missing a beat (Watch him recover during the drum solo).
Caleb ended the performance with a major high note before dropping to his knees in front of the backup singers, as if he were completely spent. Jlo gives him a standing ovation and calls the performance “some real rock n roll.” She felt that he created a moment. Harry said the performance was virtually impossible to beat. Randy loved that he was reckless and wild, like a real rock n roll guy!
