First Person: My ‘American Idol’ Experience, by Jessica Sanchez – I started singing “Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here” with no expectations of being saved whatsoever… but then I saw the judges running towards me, and I was really, really confused – you could see it all over my face. When Jennifer Lopez grabbed the microphone out of my hand, I was just lost at that point. Completely blank. When they said they were going save me, everything felt like a whirlwind, everyone was cheering… there was so much going on. I don’t think it really hit me until I got backstage. – Read more at Yahoo News

Adam Lambert on having his voice insured, David Bowie, and what to expect at Redfest DXB – Have you heard the one about the pop star who insured his voice for US$48million (Dh176m)? It is no joke. Adam Lambert took out the policy on his precious chords — and sounds proud of it. “That’s my bread and butter man, I got to insure this,” he says, as if the singer has to negotiate multimillion-dollar contracts every day. “J Lo insured her booty, right? Listen — this is what I’m making my money on.” The mammoth insurance contract was reportedly signed by Lambert’s management in 2012 — and one might say it proved a smart safety net. Forbes named Lambert the highest-earning American Idol alumni last month, having banked $10m last year alone. After kicking off his third solo concert tour on New Year’s Eve, this year could prove to be even more lucrative for the singer. And on Friday, February 12, Lambert will present a scaled-down version of his Original High Tour at RedFest DXB. – Read more at The National

A. “I’m a pretty chill guy so it doesn’t take too much to thrill me, chill me, but a nice movie or a day trip to the beach. Spend a few hours walkin’ on the beach, make a little picnic lunch. I guess it’s a summertime thing, wouldn’t be for Valentine’s Day.” (Chuckles) Q. What would you like to receive from a special someone on Feb. 14? A. “Man, any type of chocolate is good by me. Give me chocolate and you’ll be in good graces with me.” – Read more at Canton Rep

Ben Higgins’ Bachelor Blog: Why This Week Made Me Feel Like I Had Ruined Everything – One thing I feel really badly about was that I picked up the rose when I went to go talk to Olivia. In all honesty, I’m not really sure why I did that. There were so many other things on my mind that it must’ve just been instinct as I knew I was making my decision and I usually pick up the rose when I do that on other dates. But this wasn’t like other dates. Another mistake and one that I regret to this day. Told you, far from perfect. – Read more at People.com
