A new report from Nielsen Social ranks shows, specials and moments that reached the largest twitter audiences in the US during the 2013-2014 TV season.
The Voice ranks on the Top 10, thanks in part to the Insta Save set the record for total tweets posted for the May 13 airing — 1.92 million — and sent a record number of tweets in one minute: 310,000 at 8:59 p.m. ET. This was Top 5 results–the night Christina Grimmie was saved and moved on to the finals. That moment became the top minute of all TV-related Twitter activity for the season so far.

- Greatest Reach – Breaking Bad: The final episode – 9/2/13 – reached 9.1 million people on twitter. The cast led the conversation: 51,000 Tweets mentioned @aaronpaul_8 and 19,000 Tweets mentioned @BryanCranston.
- Most Tweets – The Grammy Awards – 13.8M Tweets were sent about the awards show. @Arbys tweet t0 #Pharrell was retweeted 57,000 times.
- Most Impressions – The Oscars – 1B impressions means that the 13.9 million people in the twitter audience each saw 75 tweets on average. The “selfie” tweet from @TheEllenShow was retweeted 1.1M times.
- Greatest Activity and Reach – Super Bowl XLVIII – The 25.3M Tweets posted about the event reached 15.3M people on Twitter. The top hashtag of the night #esurancesave30 – was mentioned 1.8M times.
