Big Brother 19 Eviction Results Week 2 Recap and Live Blog

A live eviction episode of Big Brother 19 airs tonight on CBS. Read a live recap and join the discussion here.

Paul is the HoH, and he named Cody as the replacement nominee after using the Veto on Josh. Tonight, either Alex, Cody, or Ramses will be evicted from the Big Brother house. Paul’s plan was to backdoor Cody, and his plan will likely be a success. But will Cody be able to rally any votes to stay, or is his looming eviction a done deal? Who will be walking out the door, and who will win HoH? Let’s find out!

After the Veto Ceremony, Josh instigates an argument with Cody and Jessica. He gloats that they’re going home, and Jessica tells him to “bring it.” Afterwards, Christmas informs the Houseguests on her current condition with her broken foot. She has to get surgery, but she plans to stay in the game.

Later on, Jessica and Christmas have a conversation to clear the air. They want to be on neutral ground, but Christmas did not appreciate Jessica calling her a mean girl. Before the commercial break, Julie informs us that Christmas underwent surgery yesterday and will return to the game. However, she is not clear to reenter the house tonight. Therefore, she’ll cast her vote live from her hospital room.

Jessica is feeling down after the tough week she’s had. She’s on slop, has to wear a toad costume as punishment, and will be losing her closest ally Cody. Cody tries to comfort her, and he feels bad that he put her in this position. He wants to put Jessica in a better position going forward after he leaves the house. He wants to drop some bombs and throw out some names. He later has a conversation with Christmas. Christmas wants an explanation for why Cody put her on the block, and he tells her that Mark and Dominique were in on the plan to get her out of the house. Cody tells Christmas that she, Jessica, and Alex are the strongest females left in the game, and it would be good if they could work together. In the diary room, Christmas is unsure if she believes everything Cody said, but she will be wary of Mark and Dominique.

Dominique hosts a talk show from time to time in the Big Brother house, and she has the three people on the block as her guests. While talking to Cody, Cody reveals he just wanted Paul out. When asked about his decisions, Paul asks Cody if it was a sole decision. Cody said that at least one or two people knew about his decisions. Mark is bothered by this comment, and he asks Cody for clarification. Cody stands by what he says, and Mark asks if he thinks that’ll help Jessica’s game. Cody said that Jessica was not one of the two people he was alluding to, and it would be unfair to target Jessica just because of his answers to Dominique’s questions. Later on, Paul is bothered by Dominique’s questions, and he is now unsure about her.

It’s time for the live vote and eviction. After Julie informs them of Christmas’s condition, the nominees give their pleas. Alex says she deserves to stay and compete. Ramses says he’s loving his time in the house and wants to continue on. Cody sends a message to his daughter back home before thanking Jessica for her support and tells her he’ll miss her. Afterwards, it’s time for the vote.

Jessica votes to evict Ramses.

Kevin votes to evict Ramses.

Christmas votes to evict Ramses.

Raven votes to evict Cody.

Dominique votes to evict Cody.

Mark votes to evict Cody.

Jason votes to evict Cody.

Josh votes to evict Cody.

Elena votes to evict Cody.

Matt votes to evict Cody.

By a vote of 7 – 3 – 0, Cody is evicted from the Big Brother house. He takes off his frog costume and kisses Jessica before walking out of the house. Cody talks to Julie, and Julie asks about his showmance with Jessica. Cody asked Jessica to be his girlfriend before he stepped out of the house, and he hopes to continue the relationship outside the house. Julie asks about his game, and he says he didn’t tell anyone his plan to backdoor Paul so no one could talk him out of it or forewarn Paul. As for putting up Christmas, he said Christmas brought a lot of anxiety and she was close to Paul too. Cody also says Paul has a lot of groupies in the house. At the end of the interview, Julie informs Cody that he’ll have a chance to reenter the game. He’ll compete against Cameron, Jillian, and next week’s evictee to battle it out for a second chance.

The next HoH competition is an endurance competition. It’s the classic wall challenge, and the last Houseguest hanging on will be the next Head of Household.

And that wraps up tonight’s episode of Big Brother 19! Thanks for reading, post your thoughts in the comment section below, and come back next week for another live recap.
