Big Brother 17 Spoilers Week 8 – POV Competition Results
The PoV, which got a late start today, beginning around 5:30 PT, featured the humorous penguin, OTEV. HoH Liz, nominees John and Becky, plus Meg, Austin and Steve competed. Liz won the Power of Veto. A win that was no doubt helped by John not playing well and being the first eliminated. John had mentioned to the Austwins that he might throw it, but it’s unclear what happened, exactly. The plan is to keep the nominations the same, which will surely come to pass now that Liz has won POV.
After the Austwins chatted with John after the HoH competition, they decided he wasn’t such a threat after all. John was the original target, but now it’s Becky. Austwins don’t trust Vanessa anymore, and they want her out, but they don’t want the responsibility, or the possible repercussions of evicting her. The reasons appear to be: 1. As long as Van is still in the game, she’s a bigger target. 2. They’re skeerd. No really. Vanessa comes after enemies with a vengeance, and the result is they leave the game. If the trio goes to the end, they’re afraid of what she’ll do to them in Jury. And of course, Vanessa can always end up back in the house via the upcoming twist.
It’s going to take brave risk takers like John or James to take Vanessa out.
So far, Becky is being philosophical about her likely eviction. She’s such a strong player, she could end up back in the game if there’s a competition twist between Jury members. Admirably, she hasn’t been afraid to make big moves, but her big mistake was trying to play all sides. If Becky hadn’t been ratting out the Goblins to Shelli/Clay/Vanessa during James’ HoH, Vanessa wouldn’t have had such strong ammunition to convince the group to keep her.
Vanessa meanwhile, will spend the next couple of days acting paranoid and hounding Liz and the others to ensure she isn’t backdoored. Then, if Becky leaves the house on Thursday, Vanessa can celebrate that. once again, the person she had dead in her sights has been evicted from the house.
