Big Brother 15 Episode 12 Recap and Discussion *Updated with Poll*

Hello Folks! Cory was busy tonight so you guys are stuck with me on this beautiful Tuesday. But no worries because Cory will be Live Blogging tomorrows Live Eviction Episode.

After a quick recap were it is shown that Kaitlin and Aaryn were nominated we are off and running. Judd is clearly targeting Aaryn. Judd played it safe with the nominations but he is still thinking of backdooring Howard as long as it doesn’t hurt his game.

Howard knows that he still needs to worry because all the people have been sending the strong home. Up in the HoH room Aaryn asks to speak with Judd and he plays it off that she is the pawn. This is smart since if she does end up staying then she won’t go after Judd.

Kaitlin asks Amanda to tell her if she was going home and Amanda tells her she has nothing to worry about. Amanda says her mission is to back door Howard because as the HoH it is her decision. But wait she’s not the HoH so really she has no mission.

Elissa is worried about the MVP because she hasn’t been given the MVP yet and she usually knows by now. He goes up to the HoH bedroom with a stupid smirk on her face. Amanda compares her to a pregnant woman who doesn’t want to announce she is pregnant yet. Judd and Amanda question her but she says she has nothing. Elissa says that she is scared that she will go up if she doesn’t get MVP. She knows people are keeping her because she has been getting MVP and if she stops getting it she could be discarded. In a diary room session Amanda confirms that Elissa is useless without the MVP.

In the backyard Spencer and Howard discuss how they need Amanda or Elissa to go home. They don’t trust either of them and want Kaitlin to stay so they can try to bring her in as part of an alliance. I agree to speak with Judd, Gina Marie, and Kaitlin about creating a new alliance.

Spencer thinks that Elissa has the MVP and thinks Howard will be nominated but Kaitlin thinks Elissa is being influenced by someone else. They agree that Helen, Elissa, Amanda, and McCrae think they are running the house. Howard and Spencer throw out the option to work as a group of five. Howard is talking about Ants and Grasshoppers – obviously he has watched Bug’s Life which I love. Spencer doesn’t get it but everyone else is eating it up and they seem to have a deal made as a 5-7 some.

Helen basically says exactly how this week’s MVP is working to Candice, Andy, and Jessie. They all admit this would be scary but based on live feeds I have seen it doesn’t really seem like any one buys this. When the MVP nomination is revealed it is Elissa nominated as the third nominee.

Elissa says she feels betrayed since she felt she was building trust with people. Howard and Kaitlin are shocked at Elissa being nominated. Helen and McCrae round out the PoV players. Andy is chosen as the PoV Host.

Aaryn is upset because she thinks that people will think she is MVP. GinaMarie tries to comfort Elissa and Elissa tells her to stop. GinaMarie tried to find out what is up and Elissa confronts her about being the MVP. Elissa starts overreacting telling everyone to vote her out. She is lamenting being nominated and Candice points out that so was Rachel and she ended up winning. She tells her that Rachel would want her to fight. This gets Elissa off the ledge.

Aaryn tells Amanda and McCrae that she is going home because everyone will think that she was MVP. People are thinking that Elissa put herself up. She tries to say that this would be Elissa’s smartest move because it causes everyone to doubts the other house guests since no one is owning the MVP. I disagree. I can see that it could work but it us way to risky and doesn’t provide enough reward. If Helen or herself don’t win PoV she would most likely go home because I don’t think the others would waste the opportunity again to send her home.

It’s time for the PoV competition. Players must crawl through mud and benches to get a sealed ballot. They have to open the ballot to reveal a number of votes, they can then choose to keep or discard the ballot. They can keep up to 4 ballots. There are also ballots with prices attached. If they keep these ballots they get the prize whether they win or lose the veto. The player with the most votes at the end wins.

Kaitlin feels crazy since she hates dirt but wants to win this Veto. Elissa and Aaryn also say they have to win. The competition seems to remind Judd of Frog hunting which totally makes sense. Half way through the competition a lion statue starts spraying water. McCrae forgets the competition and locks in a prize of $5000 but 0 votes.

Andy gets a good laugh at Aaryn keeping her face out of the mud and he is laughing it. Aaryn says that if her face was covered she would be useless. I would argue she is useless with or without her face.

Everyone is locking in ballots and Judd hasn’t gotten one yet. He finally gets one worth 18 votes but it comes with a prize of 24 hours of solitary confinement. He takes it anyways. This worked out last season because Dan got the chance to be by himself and concoct his master plan to take over the house and safe himself. It was an amazing plan but I don’t see Judd doing anything close to that. But at the same time Elissa locks in 20 votes with the prize of not being able to participate in next week’s veto. At the end Helen locks in 10 votes with the prize of an 8pm curfew for two nights.

Helen locks in with 29 votes and has the 8pm curfew for two nights. Kaitlin comes in with 25 and is out. McCrae falls out with 20 but gets $5000. I think going for the money was a mistake. It’s a nice bit of money but usually people hold things like this against you. I think part of it is that he is comfortable with his place in the game but people can take it as arrogance and look to use it against you.

Appartently McCrae says it is a lot of pizza which makes him happy. Aaryn grabs 32 votes with no prizes. Judd jumps ahead with 38 but does have a Snooze Alarm Solitary Confinement for 24 hours. Elissa agrees to sit out the next veto competition but wins the PoV with 40 votes.

Judd is not happy to be separated for 24 hours since a lot can change in that time and Howard is worried about being the replacement for Elissa.

Judd goes to solitary confinement that includes Slop and Bread and a little tiny toilet. Later Helen gets to go to bed at 8pm and is lamenting going to bed before her children go to bed. I feel bad for him mostly because alarm clocks may be the only thing I hate in this world.

Outside of the solitary confinement and early curfew it is McCrae’s birthday. Howard, Spencer, and Candice convince Amanda (although I don’t think it took much convincing) to dress up in a sexy outfit for him. While she is getting ready Elissa starts taking jabs at her about wearing a one piece and looking like she is working at a strio club. Apparently she is letting the “Rachel” out tonight.

In the HoH bedroom an alarm goes off and Spencer, Candice and Howard hold him up and tie his legs. Amanda comes in and starts spanking him. He kind of looks like an extra from Rocky Horror Picture Show. Apparently Amanda’s outfit embarrasses Elissa. She starts making comments about being disgusted by it all and gets to Amanda. She is crying in the bathroom and McCrae goes in to comfort her. The Big Brother house really is just like high school. Other than showing her mean girl side it is a horrible game play move by Elissa. Amanda and McCrae are willing to work with her and she is alienating them away from her. I understand that you may not like what is going on but sometimes you just need to keep your mouth shut when everyone else is joking around and having a good time.

After 24 hours Judd is allowed out and everyone is outside the door waiting for him. GinaMarie hands him a beer and Helen has a plate of food for him. With that out of the way it is time for the PoV meeting.

Helen is worried she will be targeted since Elissa is going to take herself off the block. Elissa obviously choices to use the veto on herself with a big smile on her face. The faces scan across the screen and it is seen that the third nominee is Gina Marie.

Howard is thankful to the MVP for not nominating him. Aaryn was shocked that GinaMarie was nominated. Kaitlin is now positive that Elissa is still the MVP since if someone was really after Elissa they would have nominated Helen. GinaMarie is mind blown that she was nominated and doesn’t get it.

That’s a wrap for tonight but come back tomorrow for Corey’s Elimination night Live Blog and he’ll be doing the Power Rankings this weekend. I’ll be back for Sunday’s night episode so see you all then.

Keep Calm and Evict Aaryn!
