Let’s take a walk down memory lane, as we re-experience a few popular The Voice contestants reactions as they receive those coveted chair turns following impressive Blind Auditions.
Pop classical singer, Chris Mann (S2) choked up as he shared with eventual coach, Christina Aguilera, that he decided “to sing like myself” for his audition. Season 3 winner, Cassadee Pope, broke down when Blake Shelton, who would coach the singer to victory, said, “I believe, with 200% of my heart, that you, Cassadee, are a superstar.” Also shedding tears: Top 4 Season 7 contestant, Damien. “I just been told no so many times,” he said. “It just feels good to see you guys turn around for me.” Pharrell Williams reminded the singer that “today should be four confirmations of yes.”
Season 5 contestant, Matthew Schuler, got Adam Levine and Christina literally standing on their chairs after he finished singing. Last but not least, Cody Belew (S3) damn near lost his mind after a last minute button push sealed him a coveted spot in the Top 48.
Also appearing in the clip: Cathia(S4), Donna Allen (S5), Nik Hawk (S5), and Daniel Rosa (S3).
The Voice 9 premieres on NBC September 21, with Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams as coaches. Battle Round advisers this season, respectively, are John Fogerty, Brad Paisley, Selena Gomez and Mary J. Blige. Rihanna will serve as key advisor for the Knockout Rounds. Carson Daly returns as host.
