Today BBC 2 series Victoria Derbyshire aired a segment titled “My Life as an X Factor Contestant”. It features three X Factor UK rejects Jade Richards, Ryan-Lee Seager and Shereece Foster. Jade Richards was rejected at Judges’ Houses in 2011 and 2013. Ryan-Lee Seager made it to the live shows in 2010 as a member of a boyband F.Y.D. and was mentored by Simon Cowell. That year, Simon was mentoring another boyband … One Direction. Shereece Foster was in a girlband Miss Dynamix. They talk about their X Factor experiences and how fake the show really is. The manager of Shereece’s new girlband says the show is the money making vehicle for SYCO and ITV.
