America’s Got Talent Winner Darci Lynne Visits Ellen and More Media (VIDEO)

Viewers crowned 12-year-old singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer from Oklahoma City, Okla., as the season 12 winner of the most-watched season in the history of summer’s #1 show, NBC’s America’s Got Talent.

Darci received the most votes ever for a finale show in AGT history and won viewers over with her incredible performance of the Beatles’ classic “With a Little Help From My Friends” alongside her puppets, Oscar and Petunia.

In her audition earlier this season, Darci received her Golden Buzzer from judge Mel B. for her rendition of Ella Fitzgerald’s “Summertime” with puppet Petunia. In 24 hours, her audition video amassed 105 million views on Facebook, and within 30 hours of broadcast she became the most socially viewed AGT performer in series history. Since then, Darci has received 306 million views to date across all social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

In addition to winning the $1 million grand prize, Farmer will headline “America’s Got Talent Live” inside the PH Showroom at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Friday, Nov. 3 and Saturday, Nov. 4 along with special season 12 guests: singer Angelica Hale, dance group Light Balance and comedian Preacher Lawson. Tickets for “America’s Got Talent Live” at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Nov. 3-4 will go on sale Friday, Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. PT.

Here’s a round-up of media featuring Darci and her puppets.

On the Ellen Degeneres Show, Darci reprised her AGT audition, performing “Summertime” with her puppet Petunia.

Darci Lynne was still in a state of shock when she stopped by Access Hollywood Live. Her voice sounds really raspy. Let that child sleep.

From People magazine

“Being on America’s Got Talent has really helped me expand my self-confidence on the stage and anywhere — I’m more comfortable and it’s just really helped and I’m glad about that,” she said. “My life is probably going to change drastically but positively. I’m so happy and I’m so excited to see what’s in store for me!”

Entertainment Tonight (Video at the link) interviewed Darci and her mother, Misty:

“I was so stressed out. That was the longest 30 seconds of my life,” Darci admitted. “I was, like, just spit it out Ty Ty! ”

So… what does she plan to do with the prize money?

“I am definitely going to give some to my church. Because they always raise money for different missions and mission programs,” she said. “And second, I have to give my mom a dishwasher because we definitely need more household appliances.”

“And a pug,” she added. “I want a pug really bad!”
