We know that the 4th of July holiday is upon us when the highest rated TV shows of the night only earned a 1.0 rating.

Tuesday night’s America’s Got Talent clip show and the CBS reality show Big Brother tied for the win with a mere 1.0 rating in the key 18-49 demo. Remarkably, what is essentially an AGT repeat tied with with a brand new episode of BB.

NBC’s Songland was right behind the two top shows, with a 0.7 rating, However it dipped 2/10ths of a point from last week’s numbers. The ratings are still solid, but the numbers show how dependent the new songwriting series is on its AGT lead in.

UPDATE: Big Brother ratings adjusted up to a 1.1 in Nielsen’s final update. Big Brother comes out on top, with America’s Got Talent at No. 2 and Songland in the third spot.
