After a week off NBC’s America’s Got Talent ratings return to NBC with a season low 1.4 in the key 18-49 demo, down from a 1.6 and 9.64 million viewers two weeks ago. Worth noting: America’s Got Talent aired against the MLB All Star Game on FOX.

FYI: The series premiere of Bring the Funny, the new NBC comedy competition followed AGT with a strong 1.2 rating and 6.18 million viewers. It’s the highest-rated premiere for a summer unscripted series since June 2017. Additionally, it was  the most-watched debut of any summer TV series in two years.

As a comparison, Songland debuted after AGT in May with a 1.1 rating in the demo and over five million viewers. That was compared to AGT’s 1.7 rating. Comparatively speaking, Bring the Funny is holding on to more of AGT’s viewers. Or maybe there are viewers tuning in without AGT’s help. The show features Kenan Thompson, Chrissy Teigen and Jeff Foxworthy on the judges panel.
