I’m still enjoying America’s Got Talent this season. Tonight’s show was another night of silly entertainment, with the best acts buried in montages. I particularly liked the bluegrass band that played modern songs.

Attack Dance Group
A university dance troupe If you don’t keep your grades up…you are out. They are bringing a brand new dance style to America called “Drilling”. Really? Howie thought the performance looked like a cheerleading routine. He was expecting something hard hitting and “manly”. He says no. Piers is adamant about putting them through. Sharon eventually says yes. It was pretty lame, with the dancing to Justin Bieber and all. I find most of these dance troupes are unspectacular.

Dude swallows stuff, and it’s REALLY gross to watch. UGH. I hate these kinds of acts. Howie thinks there is a place for sideshows. Sharon didn’t like it (she and I are on the same page). Piers puts them through because the audience, clearly loved them. Ew.

She sings opera. He sings….Uhm. I’m not sure what. They duet. It’s pretty terrible. They can’t be serious. But I think they are! Sharon calls it camp. Howie says it’s so ridiculous, it’s wonderful. Piers finds it simply ridiculous. Piers says no. Sharon calls it “pure cheese…but I am addicted to cheese, ” she puts them through.

Anna Graceman – Age 11
Little kid singer performs Alicia Keys “If I Ain’t Got You” accompanying herself on keyboards. And yes, she’s one of those precocious talents who sound way way older than her actual age. She’s hella good, but as I always say in the face of kiddie talent–she should be at home playing with her friends, not trotted out on TV. She’s definitely going far in this competition. Sharon calls her an “Old Soul”. Howie warns Anna that she’s about to become very very famous
