American Idol’s Maddie Poppe Appeared on The Masked Singer Tour!

Maddie Poppe

Here’s an unexpected thing. American Idol 2018 winner Maddie Poppe served as the special guest star on The Masked Singer Tour in Omaha Monday night (May 39)! The tour kicked off in St. Louis over the weekend, and features Natasha Bedingfield aka Pepper as host.

The concert features many of the costumes fans have come to know, but without the famous celebrities inside! However, each city will feature a special “celebrity mask” who will perform, allowing the audience to guess who is behind the mask! Drew Lachey appeared in St. Louis.

Maddie wrote on Instagram: “Such an honor to be the “local celebrity guest” last night on @themaskedsingertour in Omaha! What a fun show. Still 47 cities to go, so get your tickets to see the Masked Singer Live + host @natashabedingfield BLOW your mind. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, her vocals are unmatched and she is one of the best live performers in the game. You won’t regret seeing this one! PS: Swipe for a throwback of me meeting NB for the first time in 2019.”

Swipe through the photos to watch Maddie don her costume and more.

Her costume, a huge radio boom box called “Boom Boom Box” appears to be the costume for celebrity guests, as Drew Lachey also wore it.

Maddie’s “clue package”

“Omaha Clue Package: I like a good competition. I’m happy to just be performing tonight for you all without anyone to compete against. It’s nice to be out here on stage instead of just singing songs from my basement.”

“Anyone to compete against” her stint as a contestant on American Idol.
“Songs from my basement” a reference to her first album, 2016’s Songs from the Basement, produced by her dad.
