There was a mini American Idol reunion on On Friday (June 1) at the ABC Studios “For Your Consideration” event at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, Calif. Host Ryan Seacrest took part in the American Idol panel, while winner and runner-up Laine Hardy and Alejandro Aranda closed the event with a few musical performances.
Members of the Television Academy who attended the all-day “For Your Consideration” event experienced engaging panel discussions which celebrated some of the season’s best moments on ABC. The presentation featured talent and executive producers from comedy series The Conners and black-ish, drama series A Million Little Things and Grey’s Anatomy, alternative series American Idol, and Dancing with the Stars, and the widely watched special Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Norman Lear’s All in the Family and The Jeffersons.
A happy hour reception followed Laine and Alejandro’s separate performances.

Basically, the “For Your Consideration” event is an opportunity for networks to showcase their most noteworthy series and specials for the folks who will choose the Emmy nominees. Emma Slater and Sasha Farber appeared on behalf of Dancing with the Stars, which is returning to ABC this fall after sitting out the spring cycle.
