Congratulations to Josh Gracin. The American Idol season 2 alum has married his partner of over two years, Katie Weir, reports People magazine.
Josh and Katie–a 26 year old PR coordinator and graphic designer–started dating in January 2015 before getting engaged that fall. The couple tied the knot on May 6 in Nashville, Tennessee.
“We got married at a place called Green Door Gourmet, close to downtown Nashville,” Josh told People. “It’s a great venue that had both the rustic look that I like, and the more contemporary vibe that Katie likes.”
“She wanted a fine art-style wedding so we decorated the barn with a chandelier, silver decor, white flowers and white linens,” the singer explained.
“We met while she was working through college at Tin Roof in Nashville,” Josh shared about meeting Katie. “We got to talking and realized we had a lot in common so I asked her on a date.”
He added, “Our motto is that there are no accidents, only reasons. How we found each other and fell in love is the reason we believe and live by that.”

Josh was in the news in 2014 when, after his wife left him, the singer set off a scare with a social media post that read suspiciously like a suicide note. The country singer eventually got over that very rough patch in his life. Josh has been touring and just released a new single “Nothin’ Like Us,” which has over 500K spins on Spotify.
