Gabby Barrett’s sweet “The Good Ones” music video features a couple of surprises. The first, is a narrative twist revealed halfway through the clip. The other is a surprise cameo from Gabby’s fellow American Idol alum and fiancé, Cade Foehner.
“‘The Good Ones’ is such a special song to me — it’s inspired by my love story with my fiancé Cade, so I knew that the video needed to be just as special,” she recently told People magazine in a behind the scenes feature.

The lead actress, Madeline Delp, has a personal story that “has common threads with the story in the video, so she connected with it and wanted to be a part of the project,” Gabby said.
Gabby wanted to portray the idea that it’s important to hold on to the “good ones.”
“I hope it reminds them to cling to those keepers, those ‘good ones’ when they come along,” she told People. “to treasure them and that special thing they have.”

As far as Cade joining her on set, Gabby said, ““I’m so glad Cade got to be a part of this video, and hang with me on the set,” she added. “The music video was going to portray another person’s ‘good one,’ so I knew I needed to include mine!”

Cade congratulated Gabby on social media, “THE GOOD ONE’S OFFICIAL VIDEO IS OUT NOW! So proud of my little mama and this sweet song she wrote! I am constantly blown away by this woman! Y’all go give her some love!”
What’s next for Gabby? She told People, “Expect a lot of exciting new stuff coming throughout the rest of the year. We’re just getting started!”
