American Idol’s Francisco Martin Drops First Single “Swollen” (Video)

American Idol Francisco Martin Swollen S

American Idol Top 5 finalist Francisco Martin, landed a record deal with 19 Recordings after his Idol run earlier this year. Now the singer-songwriter releases “Swollen” his first single.

The vulnerable San Francisco singer who shared his struggles with nerves and anxieties during his judges audition, drops an emotional track which he wrote and produced in his bedroom studio at his home in Nevada.

In an Instagram post, Francisco wrote a heartfelt note to his fans:

I did it. I’ve finally released my first ever single. It’s been a long journey and I’m happy to share a piece of me with you. I remember just last year, I would spend hours on end in my bedroom producing music and writing songs to myself to release the emotions I keep bottled inside.

Since then, I’ve learned a whole lot about myself and I’m still discovering new things that make me who I am. It’s crazy how fortunate I am to share my songs with you. Your constant love and support is what pushes me every day to work harder and be the best artist I can be. No matter how bumpy the road gets, I love you unconditionally for riding alongside me on this journey. After all, the music wouldn’t be as magical without you.

I wrote this song way back in December. Posted a short clip of it in April. Produced it myself in September. And now, here it is in October for you to love, laugh, cry and enjoy. Thank you to the wonderful Elissa Feldman for taking me under her wing and believing in me and my music. Thank you to the rest of my amazing team for making this all possible. And a thousand thank-yous to you. Bigger things are in the works in the next coming months. Hope you love the song as much as I’ve come to love it.
