American Idol’s Brooke White Welcomes a Son (PHOTO)

“We are so pleased to introduce you to our not so little- little man, Sonny John Ray,” wrote Brooke on Instagram. “Pushed him out yesterday 9/3/16 at 7:08 pm at a whopping 9lbs 9oz and 22 in! He’s alert and amazing and already giving us smiles. couldn’t be more obsessed with our butterball!”

What a little cutie! Only hours old and already exhibiting a little personality.

Happy Sunday!! Look who finally had a baby! We are so pleased to introduce you to our not so little- little man, Sonny John Ray. Just 3 days ago Brooke showed off her huge bump declaring she planned to be patient with herself about losing the baby weight.

Maybe my last bump shot… Or I should say, last shot with a BABY in the bump… I’ve learned from previous experience that I won’t be prancercising out of the hospital in my skinny jeans. It took 9 months to grow this expansive protruding mound, so the bump will be bumping for a while and this time around I feel a-okay about it and I am gonna wear my maternity jeans for as long as needed or feels comfortable. This body has really done me proud, gone through the ringer for this opportunity and stretched beyond its limits, and closing in on almost 50 extra lbs later (thank you Taco Bell!?), I’ve got all the marks (so many marks, tried all the creams?), and diastase and herniated belly button (that people often get super excited about when they touch my tummy and think it’s the babies foot… And true story, my friends kid thought it was the babies nose ? lol. nope, that just my belly button that is the size of a small country) to show for it. And then there’s my backside which is looking lumpier than a dirt road at this juncture. Just sayin, thank the Good Lord for clothes! But mostly thank the good Lord for bodies no matter how rearranged and Unrecognizable they start looking when your on your way to the shower and you catch a glimpse of your naked self in front of the mirror??. Cause seriously, let’s just get this straight… it made a PERSON so how bout we cut it some slack , put on a heavily heather’d grey patterned dress, some red lipstick and say thanks! So dear body, I appreciate you, for doing what you do. Speaking of heather grey dresses, thanks to my cute red headed pal @lularoekatieledesma for hooking me up with a dress I could stretch out in these last days… Wore it from Friday-Tuesday till it started to stink. Four year old big sister, London, is still getting used to the idea of a little brother, but she’ll be fine!

She lights up my life. She woke up this morning and told us she’s “just not ready to become a big sister yet”, so we kept her home from school and took her to the farm to ride the cow train (I rode it too!) and pick tomatoes and out for breakfast for a Mickey Mouse pancake and some quality time amongst the chaos. It was a good decision and good for all of us. She has been kissing my belly and excited most days for her baby brother, but she’s such a perceptive little soul. She’s been the only one, she’s been my little partner in crime. She knows it’s all about to change. I know she’ll be good, but it will be an adjustment. How did you help your kids transition? When Brooke announced her pregnancy 6 months ago, she spoke frankly about her infertility struggles and finally conceiving a baby via IVF. “…infertility is hard. IVF is downright crazy,” Brooke wrote alongside a photo of baby Sonny’s sonogram. “I’ve been a hormonal mess for several months, but it’s totally worth it, because it finally worked. Hallelujah! Yes! We are so happy, we are so thankful.” Yay for happy endings.

IVF is downright crazy, I’ve been a hormonal mess for several months, but it’s totally worth it, because it finally worked. Hallelujah! Yes! We are so happy, we are so thankful. Yes, I have a million thoughts and feelings about this journey, cause my heart is humbled and very tender for this struggle and the many women I’ve come to know through it. I wrote them down but Dave said they were a little heavy for an announcement, and he’s probably right. soon I will share. But, I have to say, right now, THANK YOU, for all of your prayers, for your good vibes, for your hope, your perspective, your stories, and your support. You’ve helped me more than you know. I love you, and I just want to do the same for others. 12 weeks down, 28 to go.???
