American Idol alum Adam Lambert has MORE new music coming out. On Wednesday (Jan 29) the singer posted the cover art of his new single “Roses” on social media. The visual is very 80’s like. Adam almost has a Prince like vibe, dressed in bright red and blue with plenty of sparkling jewelry and slicked back hair.

“Roses” is due out on February 4 on EMPIRE records. Pre-save it here.

Sticking with the retro vibe of his recent album, Velvet: Side A, Adam invited a very special guest collaborator to play guitar on the track, the legendary Nile Rodgers. Nile famously led the influential 70s era disco band, Chic. The new single won’t be the first time the duo have worked together. Prior collaborations include the  2013 single “Shady” off of Adam’s album Trespassing. The track also featured pop artist Sam Sparro. And then a  few years later, Adam and Nile joined forces on the Avicii track later in the year on the song “Lay Me Down.”

Nile commented on Adam’s Instagram post with an encouraging message:  “True artistic, spiritual and humanly love,” Nile wrote. “Whenever one of us calls the other, we’ve always got each other’s back! Love and good luck with it!”

Currently, Adam is touring Japan with Queen and will soon move on to New Zealand and Australia, where the band is set to headline Fire Fight Australia, a wildfire relief concert.
