American Idol ratings fell off 1/10th of a point compared to last week, but still topped the night, tied for first place with 60 Minutes.
“American Idol” was off slightly week to week, but it still led ABC to the top spot in Sunday’s adults 18-49 rankings.
“Idol” posted a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic, down 0.1 from a week earlier. It tied an above-average “60 Minutes” (which was helped by a Masters golf lead-in) for the night’s top rating.
Here are stats from an ABC press release regarding last Sunday’s (April 1) American Idol. Apparently, ratings lifted a bit after 3 days of delayed viewing:
After 3 days of delayed viewing, ABC’s American Idol emerged as Sunday’s #1 broadcast show in Adults 18-49, leaping over NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar to lead by 11% (2.1/8 vs. 1.9/7). American Idol was also Sunday’s #1 broadcast gainer in L+3 playback among young adults, with a lift of +0.5 rating points over its L+SD number (from a 1.6/6 to a 2.1/8 in L+3).
