Idol Season 9 Ratings Holding Steady

Via Marc Berman of Mediaweek:

-Ratings Breakdown:
Led by American Idol, Fox got over the Wednesday “hump” in winning fashion, with 6.72 million more viewers and double the adult 18-49 rating of second-place CBS. In the distant No. 3 spot was ABC, followed by NBC and The CW.

Blockbuster American Idol opened the evening with a whopping 26.72 million viewers and a 9.8 rating/27 share among adults 18-49 from 8-9 p.m., which was similar to one year earlier. American Idol beat the four competing networks combined by 7.96 million viewers and 72 percent in the demo.

Last night’s numbers were 26.05 million viewers and a 9.9 rating/27 share among adults 18-49.

Decent numbers for Idol. TPBT must be very happy right about now.
