Okay guys, so I’ll be covering tonight! You might know me from The Voice recaps, and I’m excited to recap my favorite show. Join me here in 5 minutes for the show guys!
Here we go guys! THIS… IS AMERICAN IDOL!
We fade in to a quick recap of the performances last night and see comments from the contestants. Malaya even invents the word “flowerlishis” during the montage.
Ryan has the results in his hand….. and with that, the show has begun!
After Ryan and the judges make their usual dramatic entrances, Ryan has a quick chat with the judges about the new band performing tonight and Jennifer doing a quick change. Then we get the dinner montage where the contestants go over their thoughts on their performance. I really like this new edition to the show, it just lets us get a better view into how the idol’s spend their free time.
Now, it is time for the dreaded results! Ryan calls up first Malaya, Dexter and Jessica and Randy shares his words of wisdom about each of them. He seemed to like Malaya, he thought Dexter was lost in the music and he agreed with Jlo on Jess and loves her.
My bet is Dexter will be in the bottom 3. He deserves it anyway.

Dexter is in the bottom 3. I agree with this, he definitely had one of the weaker performances last night.
And we are back! Now we get a short vide of Jennifer talking about when she heard her song on the radio for the first time, then, here she is to perform I Luh Ya Papi. HOLY CRAP! ITS JESSICA, PIA AND ALLISON!!!!!!!! This is so cool! The talk with Jennifer and the three had my nerd heart throbbing. The harmonizing between the four is perfect. This song is so catchy that I’m almost embarrassed to say i had my foot tapping along to the beat. Its just so cool to see Allison, Pia and Jessica again! Those three are better then any of the singers this year. I really really liked this performance!
After a quick video of Keith talking about when he first heard his song on the radio, its time for more results time! Ryan calls up Alex, Majesty and Caleb. I’m not sure about this group, but gun to my head, I’d say it will probably be Majesty in the bottom 3. Randy though Caleb was lackluster and thought he was just okay and also thinks Majesty nailed it and is back. Furthermore, he thought Alex was amazing and everything came together for him.
Dim the lights, here we go…

Maybe neither of them will be bottom 3?
Guess I’m wrong, Majesty is in the Bottom 3 and Caleb is Safe!
Harry does a video of when he first heard his song on the radio, then he introduces a band Royal Teeth (what a strange name). They perform their new song Wild and I actually love their energy! But then the song starts up and I think their might be a sound issue, because they seem a little off. Not really digging this now, the song just sounds strange to me. Sorry Royal Teeth, you have tons of fun energy though!
Ryan talks about his first time being on the radio, then back to results. Ryan then calls up the remaining contestants, Jena, Sam, CJ and MK. My guess is that it will be MK in the bottom 3, likely even going home. Ryan thinks Sam will be safe, he loves Jena, thought MK started off good then became a train wreck and thinks CJ fell apart.
Hunter Hayes sent CJ a video of encouragement!

Which means MK will sing for the save! I doubt the judges will save her.
MK- All of Me, by John Legend. This was definitely her best performance she gave on idol during rush week. She sounds fine, but I’m positive the judges won’t go for it. At least you made the tour MK! I’ll miss you, but it was your time.
It is not unanimous. The judges are NOT using their save. MK plays us out with Breakaway, I’ll sincerely miss her.
