I was just “Holy sh..crap! Like this is real!” Sam Woolf told reporters right after he was saved from elimination by the judges Thursday night.
Sam was confident with his performance the night before, but he said, “It just shows that anything can really happen!” Sam admits that his fellow bottom dwellers, CJ Harris and Malaya Watson “all had killer performances.”
On the judges comments that he needs to connect to the songs he’s singing, Sam says, “This definitely hit me, and I’ve definitely got to step it up.”
“I know what I have to do now,” says Sam. “I’ve got to connect, let loose, and just sing.”
Also, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr talk about why they saved Sam. Similar to the interview I posted yesterday, both judges cite Sam’s continued improvement and willingness to take direction as the reason why they saved him.
