Casey impressed the American Idol judges last year with her big voiced rock stylings on covers like “House of the Rising Sun,” Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” and Motley Crue’s “Live Wire.” She even switched it up one week with a classic cover of “Over The Rainbow.”

She finished season 19 in fourth place, but nevertheless, 19 Recordings and BMG Music signed her to a record deal

The singer wrote her debut single, “Bad Dream” with producer Chris GreattiWillow Smith (Will Smith’s daughter), Brasko and Asher Bank

Last year, Casey traveled to Los Angeles for writing and recording sessions with producer/singer-songwriter Chris Greatti’s in his home studio.  According to the singer’s hometown newspaper, the News-Press, Casey started writing songs with Greatti, who also worked with Yungblud and Blink 182, the day after the American Idol finale in May. “Then I just kept going back and forth over there [to Los Angeles],” she said, “and we just keep on writing bangers.”

She describes the new songs she is writing as rock and alternative rock. The songs have an angry and aggressive overtone said Casey, after being inspired by a past romantic breakup. Eventually, Casey plans to release an EP.

For a moment of Zen, enjoy photos of Casey and her sweet little kitty!
