American Idol Predictions Finale

American Idol Predictions Finale

Check out this week’s polls HERE. And Last week’s predictions HERE. iTunes Rankings Once again, not much to report on the iTunes front. Jena’s winners single is ranking higher than Caleb’s. Neither is burning up the charts, however. #78 – Jena Irene – “We Are One” #211 – Caleb Johnson – “As Long As You Love Me” Favorite Performance Jena’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love” was voted your favorite performance. Indeed, it WAS the best performance. Although, I think Caleb had a better night overall. He won round 1 and 3, in my opinion. Hitting that crazy note in “Dream On” likely earned Caleb the #2 spot.

  1. Jena Irene – Can’t Help Falling in Love 46.6%
  2. Caleb Johnson – Dream On 26.36%
  3. Jena Irene – We Are One 14.34%
  4. Jena Irene – Dog Days are Over 5.48%
  5. Caleb Johnson – Maybe I’m Amazed 4.64%
  6. Caleb Johnson – As Long As You Love Me 3%

American Idol 13 Final 2 – Favorite Round These results are not surprising, considering your favorite performance was overwhelmingly a reprise.

  1. Contestant’s Choice 48.97%
  2. Simon Fuller’s Choice 37.85%
  3. Winners Single 13.18%

American Idol 13 Final 2 – Who SHOULD Win? Jena Irene wins overwhelmingly. And I couldn’t agree more.

  1. Jena Irene 71.14%
  2. Caleb Johnson 28.86%

American Idol 13 Final 2 – Who WILL Win Less overwhelmingly, but still by a wide margin you all think Jena will win.  Well. I don’t know what to think. My instincts tell me that Caleb will win, based on Idol history. Caleb is a southern white guy who sings retro rock–very well, I might add. He’s the type of contestant the older Idol fanbase loves. He doesn’t have the originality and artistry of Jena, but his performances have been more consistent over the course of the competition. He keeps chugging along. In prior years, he would have been the clear winner.  But with the new vote limits put into place this season, could the white male winner trend actually be reversed this year? Jena is a clear favorite of Idol super fans.  But there’s that vast sea of casual viewers out there, many who live in the south, who vote silently for their homeboys.  But, could the Idol audience losing many casual viewers this year, coupled with limited voting, change that trend? I don’t know.

  1. Jena Irene 61.88%
  2. Caleb Johnson 38.12%

Prediction: I’m going with my gut to say that Caleb Johnson will win American Idol.  If I’m wrong, it will be just another one of my idiot predictions. I was convinced Christina Grimmie would take it all on The Voice last night, and was completely wrong about that. Why not make it a twofer? So there you have it. My last prediction of the season. What’s yours?
