The American Idol 12 Top 11 spoke with the press yesterday about their upcoming American Idol Live tour, kicking off on July 19 in Seattle, Washington.
They performed one of their group numbers, Phillip Phillip’s “Gone Gone Gone” and spilled a few details about the tunes they’ll be performing. Winner, Candice Glover will sing her coronation single, “I Am Beautiful” but will also perform a brand new single.
The kids have been working hard on their dance steps with Justin Bieber’s choreographer, Nick DeMoura.

- Kree Harrison is excited for her set “People will get up and dance, but there will also be intimate moments.”
- Angie Miller will perform “You Set Me Free” plus ANOTHER original song!
- Burnell Taylor will perform a John Legend song and a Rihanna song. He said both songs force him to connect emotionally. Also, he PROMISES that nobody is going to crash and burn. OK.
- Devin Velez will sing in Spanish. He hopes that the audience sees that the group “really loves each other.” OK.
- Curtis Finch Jr. said his set will be “intimate” with one instrument. He’s not singing a gospel song.
- Janelle Arthur is keeping it country for the tour, but will be singing on a ton of songs that aren’t country. She’ll be singing harmony for the the other girls.
- Lazaro Arbos said he’s singing songs he really loves (so maybe he’ll remember his lyrics! Hm)
- Amber Holcomb will be wearing genie pants. She said “they go with my song.” Her set will be upbeat.
ETA: Apparently, Burnell’s songs are Rihanna’s “Diamonds” and John Legend’s “Everybody Knows.” Also, Lazaro will be singing a Lady Gaga song.
