After yesterday’s American Idol panel at the Television Critics Association tour in Los Angeles it was time to PARTY.

Dubbed, the “American Idol Happy Hour” the stars of the show were definitely the three new judges–Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan. And as artists are wont to do, the trio put on an impromptu performance of Michael Jackson’s “I’ll Be There.”
Obviously a few drinks had already been had as Luke convinced his fellow judges to sing at the piano. Katy complained that Luke’s breath “smelled like alcohol.” Luke shot back, “Yeah, well yours smells like beer.” But before the neener neener went too far, Mr. Motown (Lionel) showed them all how it was done, with a perfect vocal performance. Elder statesman, indeed.
